WPI Sports & Fitness has been a
cornerstone to many athletes success. Here are some comments
from a few of our clients:

When I was looking for a place to work on my skills as a
football player, WPI was there to provide a state of the
art facility which would assist me in my goals.
The personal trainers, especially Mark Clark in the
weight room helped me develop my core, flexibility, and
overall muscle endurance with a range of exercises which
contributed to strengthening my body from the inside
out. The speed training at WPI is second to none.
When I came into WPI, I was looking for an edge on the
competition and working with WPI’s staff provided the
edge I was looking for. Furthermore, the staff at
WPI provides excellent care whenever an athlete needs to
get on track after an injury. Dr. Gilenson and Dr.
Miller perform miracles when it comes to caring for
athletes. But most of all, WPI is a great place
with a welcoming environment. From the owner,
Scott Courter, to the front desk, everyone here wants to
see you succeed and I would recommend WPI to any athlete
that wants to reach their full potential for their
upcoming season.

I just wanted to thank you for the support that we
received from you guys during the months of January and
February. During that part of the season, we always have
tough tournaments on Saturdays, and then on Mondays we
try to do a light workout and strength training.
We decided to do our strength training with you guys at
WPI, and it was a great decision. Your trainers did a
great job of motivating our kids and our wrestlers
certainly responded well. A wrestling season is very
long and grueling. The workouts at WPI were not only
very beneficial, but were also a good change of pace.
Our JV was again the top JV in the state, our varsity
was undefeated in the southeast and was ranked in the
top 30 in the nation for most of the year, and actually
made it up to #20 at one point. We won the State
Championship easily in both the State Duals and the
State Individual Tournament. I am convinced that the
workouts that we went through at WPI had a lot to do
with our success this year.
Thanks again, and you will be hearing from us again next
year.

I learned from Chuck Smith that pass rushing is about
technique and more. You can always get better at it.
Your hands, your strategy, all of it can be improved.
Chuck is more than a trainer to me. He's a good friend.
WPI was great for me. Scott and his trainers were all
great for me. I learned a lot from Chuck while working
with him on pass rushing.

I really enjoyed my experience over at WPI. I got into
the best shape of my life while working out there. The
staff Scott put together is great. I learned a lot
from Tony Jones and Chuck Smith that really helped me.

I learned a whole deal from Chuck. I came in as a
linebacker and had to learn a lot about rushing from
defensive end. After working with Chuck, I wish I had
started with him a year earlier. I would have had a
higher rating at the position. Our entire group really
improved with Chuck.
WPI was a great experience. They know when to push you
hard and how to get you to your very best. I went to
WPI on a reference and I'm thanking them every day for
telling me about WPI.

What I learned from Chuck over two months are things I
should have learned 4 years ago when I first started
playing college ball. At the combine for instance, I
was so prepared that the combine drills were easy after
working with Chuck. Chuck works you. He prepared us a
great deal. Working at WPI and with Chuck had me in
shape for the combine and my pro day. I wasn't
nervous. I was ready. I knew I'd do well and I'd be
prepared.
WPI was great. I had fun everyday working with the guys
and getting ready. Chuck always came in hyped and ready
to make us work. The atmosphere is always positive.
You're always moving forward.

About one year ago in early fall of 2007, I met with you
and some of your staff to discuss having some of your
trainers come out and work with my soccer program. I
was mostly interested in having them work on preventing
serious leg injuries, mostly ACL tears. In doing this,
I wanted to incorporate this type of injury prevention
with speed and agility so all of my student-athletes in
my soccer program at North Gwinnett High School would be
in great shape and at the same time, developing good
running, jumping, and landing habits.
My girls’ soccer program had suffered numerous ACL tears
over the years but none more so than prior to the 2008
spring season where I had 4 returning girls out with
torn ACLs before the season had started. There is a lot
of research, opinion, and speculation out there as to
why this has occurred so frequently in girls in their
early teens but I felt strongly as to why I thought it
was happening. I wanted to find a company that would
work with all of my student-athletes in the boys and
girls soccer program in the manner stated in the first
paragraph above.
As a result of having the professional help of trainers
like Mario Raley and the cooperation of you and your
staff, our very young varsity girls’ soccer team had an
amazingly unexpected successful season in both the
amount of wins and the amount of leg injuries. The
North Gwinnett varsity girls’ soccer team, with no
seniors and very few expectations from inside and
outside our program, finished #4 in the entire state of
Georgia and also had ZERO knee injuries for the first
time in four years!
Scott, thank you for helping me take my vision as to
what I wanted done with my soccer program and turning it
into reality.

In October 2007, our daughter tore her ACL during a
soccer game. As a continuing part of her post
surgical re-hab we enrolled her in the Strength and
Agility sessions offered through WPI. Out of
curiosity, I attended many of her sessions to ascertain
that the drills, exercises, and speed training were
truly something that would be of benefit to her, both
post surgically and in preparation for the approaching
high school season.
The staff at WPI worked hard with our daughter focusing
on her training not only on strengthening her leg, but
on building full body strength.
I have been impressed with the individual help and
training that takes place even during a group session.
The trainers take the time to instruct the athletes on
proper technique and form. I have appreciated the
level of performance that the trainers are able to
instill in the athletes.
I can recommend without reservation WPI and their staff
to any athlete for their training purposes.
